About me

Hobbies, Sports, Life, and more

Welcome to My Crazy, Creative, and Occasionally Dangerous World!

Hi there! I’m Natalie Vargas (Chaykina), a professional hat-wearer... metaphorically speaking, of course. I wear a lot of hats: traveler, author, video producer, web page builder, graphic designer, marketing specialist, martial artist, fencing instructor, and, when the mood strikes, a storyteller with a flair for the dramatic.

When I’m not designing websites or concocting marketing magic, you might find me adventuring to new places, dodging deadlines with a fencing longsword in both hand, or spinning tales that may or may not involve shamans and ancient worlds (no spoilers).

Think of this site as my digital playground—part portfolio, part storybook, part "what was I thinking?" Join me as I juggle creativity, discipline, and a healthy dose of chaos. Feel free to explore, connect, or just stick around for the laughs, or tears, or deep thoughts. Let’s make something amazing—and maybe a little weird—together!

Discover my World

I have a soft spot for antiquities and oddities—basically anything old, strange, or shrouded in mystery. In my free time, you’ll likely find me jetting off to explore the culture and history of far-off lands (including those that don’t even exist anymore—why let a little thing like extinction stop me?). I’m all about diving headfirst into mysteries, legends, and a healthy dose of mysticism. Who needs reality when the past is this much fun?

As a 3D designer, I wield Blender, 3ds Max, and ZBrush like a digital sculptor armed with a chisel, turning pixels into masterpieces (or at least objects that look less like potatoes than they did at the start). In Blender, I bring concepts to life, spinning them around until they stop looking awkward. With 3ds Max, I tackle complex modeling challenges that sometimes feel like solving a Rubik’s cube blindfolded. And ZBrush? That’s where I channel my inner Michelangelo—except instead of marble, it’s polygons, and my statues never complain about symmetry issues!

But seriously...

Olympic and historical fencing are my greatest passions! They’ve become such a big part of my life that I’ve even managed to win a few medals along the way (for something, at least!). These days, I’m channeling that passion as an active historical fencing instructor, sharing the art and techniques of this fascinating discipline with others.

Got Something to say? Let’s cross words (or swords)!
Whether you’ve got a burning question, a brilliant idea, or just want to challenge me to a duel (preferably verbal, but I’m flexible), this is the place to do it.
